Start 2021 with Updated MRSC Training
For more than 80 years local governments turned to The Municipal Research and Services Center (MRSC) for assistance and reliable training. Through this blog post, we’ve highlighted two upcoming webinars we find relevant to County Officials and their staff which occur in the beginning of 2021.
When: Thursday January 21, 2021 | 11:00AM – 12:00PM
Kick off 2021 with a review of ethics, Presenters Heidi Greenwood, Port Townsend City Attorney and Steve Gross, MRSC Legal Consultant will “review statutory conflict-of interest laws, discuss recent “Ask MRSC” questions, and provide a framework for reviewing and updating agency’s ethics codes”. Registration closes on January 20th at 5:00pm.
When: Tuesday, January 26th, 2021| 10:00AM – 11:00AM
Many WACO members will recall the extensive training offered on our website with presenter, Morgan Damerow, Assistant Attorney General, however we still encourage you to review this training as caselaw is always changing. Morgan Damerow and Sarah Doar, MRSC Legal Consultant will walk attendees through recent litigation that may affect an agency’s OPMA or PRA compliance. Registration closes on January 25th, at 5:00pm.
While considering future MRSC trainings remember that training scholarships are available through Washington Counties Risk Pool, among others. Please find scholarship information here.
