2022 Conference Swag BagsWith just over two weeks remaining before the WACO Annual Conference, you can expect to be seeing a handful of emails reminding you to register for the event. WACO members have already prepaid their event registration, and while we encourage all members to attend in-person at the beautiful Centennial Hotel in Spokane (where you’ll be greeted by fantastic views of the Spokane River and fun swag bags full of goodies) we would like to remind you that the 2022 WACO Annual Conference is a hybrid event. That means that whether or not you travel to join us, you’ll be able to take part in the trainings, meetings, and even interact with exhibitors, from wherever you are!

WACO Virtual Platform - Create a Custom Agenda

The WACO Annual Conference has a virtual platform that allows attendees to join sessions via video, giving remote WACO members the ability to take part in scheduled affiliate time and keynotes that will be streamed live. The platform also allows attendees to create a customized agenda for themselves, so that they can prioritize which sessions they wish to attend – a great feature for both in-person and virtual attendees! Want to create your custom agenda? You can do it from your computer or smartphone! Use this guide to help you: How to View the Agenda & Plan Your Schedule

WACO Virtual Platform - Connect with AttendeesWACO’s virtual platform also makes it possible for virtual attendees to take part in the valuable networking that the conference provides. Utilizing the “Attendees” tab, virtual attendees can see who else is at the conference and say hi directly! (If you want to test this feature, feel free to find WACO Member Services Manager Cella Hyde on the attendee tab and say hello!)

The “Community” tab offers a more group-oriented interaction point, giving virtual and in-person attendees the opportunity to address everyone at the conference at the same time. Check out the “Break the Ice!” topic in the “Community” tab and view the ice breakers that have already been posted by attendees and exhibitors. Answer, react, and add your own ice breakers and opinions to community subjects right now, before the conference even begins! This feature is a great way to get to know your peers and grow your network of connections. On the fence about jumping into the “Community” tab and interacting with other attendees? It’s easier than you think and can be done from a computer or smartphone. Use this guide to help you get comfortable: Joining Discussions on the Community Board

WACO Virtual Platform - Virtual Exhibitor Booths 1

Speaking of exhibitors… one of the coolest parts of WACO’s virtual platform is that it gives all attendees the ability to browse and interact with all the conference exhibitors before, during, and even after, the event. That means you can get all your questions answered about exhibitor products, company policies and culture, and even discuss specific pain points you’re trying to address to see if they could meet your needs.

When you visit the “Exhibitors” tab, you’ll see a catalog of conference exhibitors with virtual booths. Clicking “Visit Booth” will take you to their virtual booth where you can find their website, contact information, deals and offers, and a chat and inquiry option to interact directly with the booth attendee.

Remember – WACO’s annual conference is for you, our members. With your registration prepaid, we’ve ensured that no matter where you are logistically, as long as you have an internet connection and a smartphone or laptop, you can join the conference.

WACO’s 64th Annual Conference takes place Tuesday, September 27th – Thursday, September 29th in-person and streamed through our virtual platform.
