[ARCHIVED] Treasurer Brian Sullivan Appointed to National Positions

Snohomish County Treasurer Brian Sullivan has been appointed to
 three national positions. 

Treasurer Sullivan was appointed by The National Association of Counties’ President, Gary Moore to serve on two committees, The Intergovernmental Affairs Steering Committee and the Large Urban County Caucus. President Moore stated, “Brian was chosen because I want to build a talented and committed leadership team for the nation’s counties.” 

Within the first position, Treasurer Sullivan will serve as the Vice-Chair of the Finance, Pension and Intergovernmental Affairs Steering Committee, and assist the committee will all matters pertaining to the financial resources of counties, fiscal management, federal assistance, and municipal borrowing.  

He will also serve as a committee chair for the Large Urban County Caucus (LUCC) which is the premier forum for urban county leaders, addressing issues on urban challenges and solutions.  

The third position is a on a special task force for the International Economic Development (IEDC), which is a dynamic position helping Snohomish County ports and aerospace industries. IEDC is a non-profit, non-partisan membership organization serving economic developers. With more than 5,000 members, IEDC is the largest organization of its kind. 

Brain Sulivan has been a public servant for over 30 years. Previously, he was a Mukilteo City Councilman and later became their Mayor. He was a Washington State Legislator from 2001 –2007, and then served as a Snohomish County Councilman.
